I originally joined Sullivans in 1995 as a trainee accountant. After an enjoyable 6 years, I had a brief spell away working at a regional accountancy practice. Missing the proactive and friendly approach of Sullivans, I returned in 2003 as a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant. My time at Sullivans quickly accelerated from senior client manager to becoming a Chartered Accountant in 2007, director and equity partner.

Since becoming a partner in 2007, I alongside my business partners and the team have steered the firm, to substantially grow the size of the business. A key ingredient to our growth is our proactive approach and our philosophy. It’s very satisfying when our own clients and professional alliances are our greatest advocates.

I now have +30 years of experience with extensive involvement in advising small and medium-sized enterprises on financial and business planning opportunities. I have assisted many companies in expanding their operations, securing the necessary funding, improving their business processes and minimising their taxes. I work with a wide array of client businesses, with some of my specialist sectors being Care Homes of all types, Dentists, Professional Services such as recruitment agencies and various retail.

I encourage open dialogue with my clients, in order to identify opportunities and minimise pitfalls. I firmly believe it is better to be proactive than reactive.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family which often entails having a second job as a taxi driver, chauffeuring my son to his football and athletics. I also enjoy walking around coastal and countryside paths which assists my mental well-being so I’m fully refreshed for work.
